Building Department

The Building Department regulates construction activity in the Borough. Construction permits are required for all interior and exterior construction work on all structures. Homeowners should contact the Building Department for information regarding obtaining a permit prior to starting the project. All work that requires building, electrical, plumbing, and/or fire/tank inspections must be filed to the building department and reviewed for approval to receive a permit for the work. The Department also reviews and issues Certificates of Occupancy, manages work within the Borough’s right-of-way and responds to Property Maintenance complaints.
