GRPD Professional Standards

The Internal Affairs Division is made up of Lt. Faranda, Lt. Gnardellis and D/Sgt. Manley. The unit is responsible for processing complaints of Officer misconduct, conducting random drug testing and monitoring the Early Warning System for officer conduct. The Internal Affairs unit also monitors and reports to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office any Brady and Giglio violations which would result from untruthfulness.

The Glen Ridge Police Department accepts and investigates all complaints of department and employee alleged misconduct or wrongdoing from any citizen, department employee or any other source, including anonymous sources.
